2011 YMIITP ADVISORY: HOTEL ASSIGNMENT , REGISTRATION PROCEDURES, REMINDERS & HOUSE RULES

Please be informed that the 2011 Young Mathematicians' In-house Intensive Training Program (YMIITP) for the Elementary Level will be on March 21-24, 2011 at Naga City, Camarines Sur. The following participants are advised to proceed immediately to the following hotels for registration and billeting:

Grade 2, 3, 4, and 5 Groups
Naga Regent Hotel, Elias Angeles Street


Grade 6 Groups and Graduating High School Students (Special Schedule)

Villa Caceres Hotel, Magsaysay Avenue


The registration will start at 7 am to 9am while the Opening Program follows immediately at the convention center in your respective hotel.

 

For the High School Level on March 25-28, 2011, hotel and billeting assignment, registration (7am to 9am), Opening Porgram will be in Naga Regent Hotel, Elias Angeles Street.

Please wear your 12-sat tshirt on the first day of the training.


Registration Procedures and Important Reminders:

  1. Upon arrival at the hotel, please do the following things:

¯   Proceed to the Registration Area (NCR, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)

¯   Register your name

¯ Claim your Identification Card

¯   Get your Room Number

¯ Get your luggage stub (write your name and room number on it) and then tie it on your luggage.

  1. Deposit your luggage at the designated concierge area.
  2. Proceed to the convention hall for the Opening Program
  3. Wait for the distribution of room keys after the opening program.

 

Reminders for parents/accompanying persons/guardians

  1. The whole hotel area is restricted during training sessions
  2. Hotel rooms and classrooms are always off limits
  3. Strictly observe visiting hours at the designated area
  4. See the information officer for any concern

 

HOUSE RULES

 

  1. For Parents/Accompanying Persons
  2. Strictly observe visiting hours at designated area.
  3. The whole hotel is a restricted area during training sessions.
  4. Hotel Rooms and classrooms are always off limits.
  5. Parents may pull out their child’s luggage a night before the last training day.
  6. See the information officer for any concern.

  8. Training Sessions:
  9. The trainees must attend all training sessions, take and pass all quizzes and submit all assignments so as not to affect the score and performance;
  10. They must be attentive to their lecturers during sessions, sleeping and chatting are prohibited;
  11. They must observe punctuality during session time and other activities;
  12. They should be polite and courteous to the lecturers, MTG officers/staff and hotel personnel ;
  13. Using of mobile phones Ipods, MP3and other electronic gadgets, Rubik’s cube are prohibited;
  14.    Reading of pocketbooks, comics and other reading materials may be done elsewhere but not during the training sessions;
  15. Vandalism is ground for disqualification from the training.

 

  1. Hotel (Hotel Room/Lobby/Dining Area)
  2. No participant should leave the hotel even with his/her parents without prior notice and approval of the MTG officers;
  3. While inside the room, please refrain from talking aloud, shouting, or making any noise that will disturb other roommates;
  4. No trainees are allowed to loiter or stay out of their rooms after the curfew time at 10pm;
  5. Be on time in going to the dining area for the breakfast, lunch and dinner; please get food just enough for your consumption;
  6. Be considerate in using the rest rooms, that is, don’t stay long and keep it clean for the next user; Please keep your bed clean and tidy before leaving for the sessions;
  7. Long distance call is not allowed unless permitted by the management and to be paid by the trainee;
  8. Please do not leave your money and other valuable items in your room. The organizer will not be held be responsible for any lost items left unattended;
  9. Always double check your room for any left item before checking out of the hotel;
  10. Trainees are not allowed to leave the hotel even with their parents or accompanying person without the prior notice of the MTG officers;
  11. Key to the room must always be deposited to the hotel staff. The room occupants must pay Php 1000 for the lost key. Failure to pay is a ground for disqualification in any future training;
  12. The participant shall pay the amount charged by the management for any deliberate or unintentional damage in the room; and
  13. If any problem arises, please coordinate or see your center coordinator or any MTG officer.
