REVENTAR, THE COUNTRY’S SOLE PARTICIPANT IS THE WORLD’S BIGGEST WINNER IN KGL

Sep 27, 2022

It was another massive claim to fame for the country’s only representative in the 2022 KGL English Olympiad Global Finals held onsite in Thessaloniki, Greece on September 23 – 26, 2022.

Rex Alphonse Reventar, Grade 10 from the Philippine Science High School - Main, whose ability and prowess to go for big scores had made him reap the Overall Champion for the B1 Level or Intermediate English level.

Reventar, one of the hundreds of thousands of participants from more than 30 countries that took part in the KGL First and Second Round Exams in early 2022 made it to the short list of 106 global finalists, this time, from 14 countries.

As the Philippines’ sole participant, Reventar elevated his country above all as he got through the English contest alongside the written/essay task with the highest honors in B1 Division, reaping for him the following prizes trophy as overall champion, gold medal, a certificate, and a 500$ academic grant.

Mr. Renard Eric Chua, MTG officer and math Trainor/Lecturer accompanied him to this spectacular feat in Thessaloniki, Greece. The competition drew 106 global finalists from Bulgaria, China, Greece, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Malaysia, the Philippines, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.
