26 FILIPINO MATHLETES WIN IN AMC 10/12, QUALIFY IN AIME

The Philippines wrapped up the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 10A/B and (AMC) 12A/B with high distinction and distinction awards, and finished off with thirty-three Filipino math wizards who are qualified to join in the American Invitational Mathematics Examinations (AIME) II to be administered on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. 

Filbert Ephraim Wu, Grade 12 from Victory Christian International School is the biggest winner for his par excellence performance, conferring him the high distinction award in AMC 12A/B.

In addition, nine Filipino math wizards unveiled their high-grade number prowess in AMC 10A/B and AMC 12A, which merited them a distinction award. They are

The ten math wizards winning high distinction and distinction awards are invited to this more challenging competition, the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). Along with them are these additional qualifiers for excelling in the AMC 10 and/or AMC 12.

The AIME is a 15 question, 3-hour examination, each answer is an integer number between 0 to 999. The questions on the AIME are much more difficult than those on the AMC 10 and AMC 12.
