35 SCHOOLS IN REGION 4-A QUALIFY IN MATH TRAIL FINALS
Armed with math prowess, 360 whiz kids from 90 schools, clustered in 5, in CALABARZON 4-A marched toward the contest venues in different SM Malls in the region to participate in the 2012 MTG-SM-SHARP Math Trail and Problem Solving Competition (elimination round) held on September 21 -23, 2012.
Emerging as qualifiers of the regional final round for meeting the cut-off scores are 140 students from 35 schools. The regional qualifiers, other than dealing with the math aces in Region 4-A, will also face the challenge of solving harder math problems whose important information are found in 7 stations.
The final round scheduled at 1PM on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in SM Calamba will certainly draw a demarcation line among the good, better and best teams. The scores of all participating teams shall be ranked to determine the top five (5) teams and from them the Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, 3rd runner-up and 4th runner-up shall be declared.
