It will be another day in the sun for some of the country’s cream of the crop in the field of mathematics to shine once more in the Asia Inter-Cities Teenagers Mathematics Olympiad (AITMO) scheduled to take place in a nearby area in Jakarta, Indonesia on December 26-30, 2013.
The math contest, a biennial event, has two parts: the individual contest and team competition. It is open to secondary school students with the aims to provide an opportunity for mathematical interaction and promote friendship among Asian youths.
The Philippines will send 4 teams of 4 members each to compete with the Asia’s finest math wizards. The Filipino participants, of which most had earned their stripes in some other international math contests, have been chosen to represent the country in this last math contest for the year.

The sixteen math aces are requested to make their confirmation of participation on or before Saturday, August 31, 2013 through this email address, mtg.mco@gmail.com with this subject header, "Yes to AITMO".
Once confirmation is made, the participant agrees to undergo rigid training every Saturday starting September 7 (1:00- 5:00PM). Additional requirements will be sent to you thru email including the registration form. Please comply the soonest possible time.
Failure to give the affirmation on the said date would mean that the participant is backing out from the Philippine Team. Thus, MTG reserves the right to award the vacant slot(s) to other qualified participants.
