The quest for excellence continues as Filipino math aces make another homerun, picking two silver and 6 bronze medals from the recently concluded 16th Po Leung Kuk Primary Math World Contest (PLKPMWC)held in Hong Kong last July 14 – 19, 2013.
Making names in the event for winning the silver medals were Christian Philip Gelera, Grade 6, of UP Integrated School and Natalie Beatrice Dy, Grade 6, of St. John’s Institute, Bacolod City. Their achievement gleamed with a bright reflection of the training they had from MTG Philippines plus their innate prowess for numbers.
The other Filipino math wizards gave the Philippines six bronze medals, making the whole teams to bring home the prideful recognition. Performing up to the mark were Bon Leif Amalia and Emmanuel Paulo Santos both Grade 6 of Colegio San Agustin, Binan Laguna, Elion Nikola Chua, Grade 4 of MGC New Life Academy, Patrick Nino Policarpio, Grade 5 of Greenpark Montessori Learning Center, Kenneth Shi, Grade 6 of Philippine Cultural College Caloocan Campus and Matthew Eric Tan, Grade 5 of St. Stephen’s High School.
