It’s final! The Mathematics Trainers’ Guild, Philippines will bring five math-tough female high school students to represent the country in the 2015 China Girls Mathematical Olympiad (CGMO) in Shenzhen, China on August 10 to 14, 2015.
The contest described by participants as thought-provoking and mind-boggling because its nature is far from ordinary for it is being compared by most team leaders from different countries to the prestigious International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). This an all-girl math contest being regularly participated by Russia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, China, and the USA certainly gathers female participants displaying extraordinary mathematical skills.
The competition usually lasts for 2 days where four problems are to be completed within 4 hours each day has not only been very challenging but also very difficult to answer if mathematical prowess is uncertain. Thus, the four young Filipinas ready to fight tooth and nail to the end are the following:
