
The Filipino math wizards went home with 4 bronze medals at the recently concluded 15th Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and Hanoi Mathematics Society in Vietnam on March 26 – 30, 2018.
The bronze medals in the individual contest – junior division were a courtesy of Khoo, Justin Teng Soon from Regional Science High School III; Tamayo, Annika Angela Mei from Ateneo de Iloilo - Sta. Maria Catholic School; Tangog, Gwyneth Margaux from Southville International School and Colleges.
Meanwhile, King, William Joshua, grade 10, from Bethany Christian School in Cebu City was also awarded bronze medal in the individual contest – senior division.
The Philippine team composed of Bermudez, Dominic Lawrence, from Philippine Science High School - Main Campus, Uy, Robert Frederik from Philippine Science High School - West Visayas Campus, Khoo, Tamayo and Tangog was declared champion and each received a bronze medal and a trophy for their performance in the team contest.
