Six finest of the finest female math wizards noted for their high mathematical caliber have been selected to represent the Philippines in the 2019 ChinaGirls Mathematics Olympiad (CGMO) which will be held in HuBei, China from August 10 to 15, 2019.

The CGMO is a math competition with proof-based format similar to the International Mathematical Olympiad. It was originally organized in2002 for teams of girls representing different regions within China. Later, the organizers decided to invite other nations to send teams of girls from their countries.

Though CGMO is considered as one of the most difficult math contests in the world, yet the Philippines won several medals since 2005.

The six female participants are Deanne Gabrielle Algenio, Grade 9 from Makati Science High School, Gwyneth Margaux Tangog, Grade 9 from Southville International School and Colleges, Hiraya Sy Marcos, Grade 10 from Philippine Cultural College – Main, Vanessa Ryanne Julio, Grade 9 from St. Jude Catholic School, Naomi Anne King, Grade 10 from St. Jude Catholic School and Kirsten Dominique Chan, Grade 10, Ateneo De Manila University Senior High School.

The prospective participants must confirm their participation through this email address, renarderic.chua@gmail.com on or before Monday, July 22, 2019.

The person-in-charge, after receiving the confirmation, will send the registration form and other initial requirements for compliance.
